Camcorder Essentials Course (2 Hours)

Service Description

This course goes over how to use both of GATe's Production-Level Camcorder Models: the Canon XF305 and Panasonic HC-X2000. Students will learn the process of reserving, using and returning GATe's Camera equipment, the basics of camcorder operation including tripod setup, exposure, camera operation, white balance, as well as the methods and theory behind shot composition (ex. rule of thirds, positive-negative space, eye-lines) and compositing shots (ex. camera movements, cuts, fades). Upon successful completion of the course's exercises and test, students will be certified to operate and rent both the Canon XF305 and Panasonic HC-X2000. This class is offered for free to anyone every second-Saturday from 11am to 1pm and from 2pm to 4pm. Seating is limited to 8 per class. A prior sign-up is requested.
